We are looking for a positive person to provide part-time/full-time support in our kitchen as a Prep Cook / Line Cook. Weekend (rotating) and Summer availability are a must! Kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train someone with a solid work ethic and at least some basic kitchen skills. This role is primarily (but not limited to) prepping food items, cooking menu items from scratch, providing support in the kitchen with dishes and plating menu items, to some interaction with guests. You will also help with private and in-house special events! Plenty of room to grow for the right candidate.
Please note: Our kitchen is small, fun, low-stress quite different from the normal kitchen grind.
The ideal candidate for this important position is capable of taking direction well, has flexibility in taking on various roles, can multi-task, and has a friendly demeanor. Please note that this position requires the ability to move safely throughout the facility during the shift, including stairways and outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities:
-Follow health and food safety standards
-Prep menu items
-Cook and plate menu items in a timely manner
-Flexibility and willingness to work as a team
-Keep kitchen area clean and help with dishes
-Take direction from Management
-Monitor all dishwashing areas for cleanliness, proper working condition, organization. Operate dishwashing equipment
-Inform Management of supplies that need to be ordered
-Report any ongoing issues to Management and help develop plan to correct them
-Work as part of a team, contributing in other areas as needed, such as running food, stocking items, greeting guests while moving around the facility, and providing support in keeping our facility tidy!
