JOB TITLE: Parks Laborer
PAY RANGE: $17.12-$23.02 plus excellent benefits
July 1, 2025 PAY RANGE: $18.58-$26.49

Description: The Town of Exeter is currently seeking a full-time laborer for the Parks and Recreation Department. This entry-level position is responsible for performing skilled labor to regularly maintain various Town facilities and grounds, including sports fields, parks, docks, historic cemeteries, and a seasonal outdoor pool. Experience with zero-turn mowers, tractors, power tools such as weed trimmers and chain saws is a must. Previous equipment maintenance experience is preferred. The laborer will assist the foreman and other skilled trade workers as needed. This position is required to work during snow events, either shoveling, spreading sand, or plowing.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of a high school diploma or GED with related experience. Knowledge of horticultural practices preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., follow oral and written instructions, and communicate effectively and professionally.
