Our client is a next-generation of pharmacy, bringing patients significantly lower costs through an innovative API-based virtual pharmacy platform. medication The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in the accurate preparation and distribution of prescription medications. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who can process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, while also delivering superior customer service. This role includes both administrative tasks and patient-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced, innovative pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities:

Deliver fantastic pharmacy services to patients who need them.

Assist in the preparation of prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Process prescription orders received electronically, via fax, or directly from patients.

Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve prescription issues.

Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills in all interactions with patients, including managing patient inquiries.

Conduct regular reviews of medication storage areas for expiration dates and proper storage conditions.

Handle sensitive patient information in a confidential manner, in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment.

Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and regulatory changes.

Contribute to a team-oriented work environment, collaborating effectively with pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications:

H.S Diploma or Equivalent

Prior experience in a pharmacy setting (preferred).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong customer service skills and a patient-oriented mindset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in the use of computer systems and software used in pharmacy settings.

Basic understanding of medical terminologies and pharmaceutical calculations.
