Adoption Coordinator

Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption is growing! We are looking to add and Adoption Coordinator to our staff.
Every other week a transport arrives full of dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes. They stay in our NH licensed Quarantine facility throughout the weekend, they are checked out by our vet and then we send them off to their forever homes. The Adoption Coordinator is responsible for helping to match the dogs who are arriving with their new families.
**Please note that this is an administrative job. You will not be working directly with the dogs.**
Responsibilities include:
* Review of applications submitted online.
* Follow up with potential adopters to answer questions and obtain additional information if necessary.
* Reference checks with vet offices, landlords (if applicable) and adopters personal references.
* Phone interviews with potential adopters.
Qualifications:
* Excellent personal interaction skills
* Ability to deal with challenging and difficult conversations with diplomacy and tact
* Detail oriented and organized
* Competent in Google Drive
* Comfortable using email and Facebook as means of communication
* Ability to work independently as well as be a team player
This position is ~20 hours per week, weekends and some holidays are required. Hours may vary weekly.
