ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform mechanical set-ups as per job instructions.
Performed preventive and regular maintenance on building and production machinery.
Refined and troubleshooted, debugged mechanical components, electronic, and electrical circuits.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repair or replace defective parts. Install special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and clean parts.
Start devices to test their performance.
Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines
Repairs electrical equipment.
Recognize hazards and take appropriate precautions. Wears proper PPE to minimize hazards.
Assist in other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Be able to understand and communicate both verbal and written instructions in English.
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers, vendors, or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. They are occasionally exposed to fumes, dust or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration, outside weather conditions, confined space, intense heat, glaring light, heavy metals and ascend and descend high elevation. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
