Responsible for quality assurance support activities including, but are not limited to, proper inspection and documentation of First Article Inspections, First Piece Acceptances, In-process Inspections and Final Inspections: maintenance of the HMC Calibration registry, management of all metrology equipment, and entering inspection/metrology results into the VET system.
Reviews jobs running on the shop floor with Shop VP each morning. Fill out the Daily Part Inspection Schedule form.
Measures specified part dimensions and records the inspection results in the appropriate Excell spreadsheet, the VET job card, and in the VER work order to document conformance with customer and HMC imposed standards for quality.
Measures parts using the OGP SmartScope to verify that parts are manufactured per print and/or model.
Prepares ballooned prints in accordance with HMC Procedure using DISCUSS software.
Competencies: Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages. Skilled in the use of OGP SmarScope. Capable of problem solving/analysis in a shop environment.
