Shipping and Receiving Clerk (TINC-MFG) - 1st Shift

Join a team of professionals where you will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment.

-Comparing identifying information, part numbers, serial numbers, counting, weighing, or measuring items of incoming

and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading.

-Communicating with supervisor daily on the specifics concerning quantities of parts being shipped and where they will

be shipped to.

-Ensuring proper packing of parts being shipped; examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

-Preparing required shipping forms, assembling boxes, creating packing and/or part labels, packing cartons, and adhering

packing slips/labels to cartons.

-Calling authorized freight companies to arrange the pick-up of shipments.

-Receiving all material, rough turned parts and daily deliveries from UPS, FedEx and other freight companies.

-Verifying merchandise received against the packing slip and purchase order.

-Checking deliveries for damage before signing receipt of goods. Unpacking and examining incoming shipments,

reporting damaged items, recording shortages and reporting them to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. Route items to

departments.

-Maintaining accurate inventory of shipping materials, supplies, raw material, and finished goods.

-Operating lift trucks or handcart to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or

work area.

-Performing other duties as necessary.

Bring Your Expertise:

-High school diploma or GED equivalent.

-1 to 2 years’ experience in an office or shop environment preferred.

-Good math skills.

-Able to handle multiple tasks; attention to detail.

-Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
