This is a essential role for a busy meal site where flexibility and teamwork are key.
You will be filling in for meal drivers when needed, helping out at the site with various duties such as packaging meals and assisting with kitchen clean up. A minimum of 7 hours per week, more when filling in for a driver. Working hours vary depending on need, should be available between 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM Monday - Friday. Back-up driver must have the flexibility to fill in for drivers on short notice.
Physical aspects to the job - Ability to lift approximately 35 pounds, ability to bend, twist and reach, enter and exit a vehicle multiple times in a shift, and navigate stairs. Delivery routes are approximately 2 hours long. You will also have to stand for 30-60 minutes while you pack meal bags or help with packaging up meals for the day.
Desired skills: Safe driver, good rapport with seniors and pleasant personality. Need to have a reliable vehicle. Driving and criminal records check are performed.
