positions.
About Us: East Coast Lumber is a full-service professional lumber yard and building supply company located in East
Hampstead, NH that has been family owned and operated since 1976. By supplying local builders, remodelers, and
homeowners with all their building needs, we have become a preferred supplier of lumber and building materials,
kitchen & bath products, builder’s hardware, millwork, and equipment sales, rentals, and service.
Reports to: Sales Manager:
General Requirements:
Experience in building materials sales, millwork sales, and blueprint takeoffs. Willing to train the right candidate.
Operating a Point-of-Sales (POS) system.
Other experience or hands-on training in building related trades would be considered.
Strong organizational and computer skills are essential.
Excellent customer service and communication skills. Both verbal and written are required.
Proficiency communicating product features, specs, and recommendations to customers.
Ability to multitask and take directions.
Conduct product research. Listen to customer needs and research the proper product and information.
Possess a strong work ethic and integrity.
Able to work independently, or in a team to effectively achieve company goals.
Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy work environment.
Must be legal to work in the United States and be over 18 years old.
Need to be able to lift 50 lbs.
Contractor Sales & Estimating Responsibilities:
Developing relationships with Contractors and Homeowners.
Communicate with customers. Listen and understand their needs and recommend the best solution for their
project.
Responsible for full blueprint takeoffs for building materials and millwork.
Ability to take accurate notes. Create and maintain estimates and orders. Follow through with order fulfillment,
deliveries, and customer pickup.
Manage and follow up on order and estimate reports.
Conduct frequent communication with product vendors.
Field measurements for millwork.
