Position Description:
We are currently seeking seasonal Merchandiser and Product Advisor candidates with prior experience in a merchandising role. As a Merchandiser, youll be an essential part of our companys vision, to be the leader with a challenger spirit. Bring your energy and flexibility. You will be responsible for merchandising the BioAdvanced line as well providing product education to store employees at Home Centers within an assigned territory.
This seasonal position offers an hourly rate, gas allowance, plus an opportunity to earn a bonus with work dates coinciding with the local spring gardening season.
Primary Responsibilities:
Build and maintain product displays in accordance with SBMs brand standards
Maintain appropriate product level on racks, shelves, and displays as well as maintain, clean, and organize back stock
Build and maintain relationships with key store personnel, including educating and advising retail store personnel on the selection of our products
Install and maintain Point of Sale (POS) materials
Work with store personnel to order product at the store and district level while providing exceptional customer service to store personnel and consumers
Reconcile inventory counts per store systems
Update management, via phone survey, daily regarding store activities
Daily travel within assigned territory
Experience Required:
High School diploma or equivalent and fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
Valid drivers license and auto insurance as well as access to reliable transportation during store business hours
Access to a Computer with internet connection and Printer to obtain weekly reports
Be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and the ability to climb an 8-12 ft. safety ladder and work with or without reasonable accommodations
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Maintain a quick work pace with optimum time management to improve productivity
Ability to travel within an assigned territory (radius of 100 miles) and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Basic computer skills
Experience with organization and planning tasks
Excellent communication skills
It would be great if you also have:
1-2 years of consumer products merchandising experience
Previous Home Center consumer product merchandising work experience
Previous Lawn Care and/or pest control work experience
