Helical Drilling is looking for someone to join us as an Apprentice Mechanic - Shop Helper.
A Mechanic's Apprentice works under the supervision of our skilled Mechanics and with our shop and field crews.
A qualified mechanic apprentice should possess a combination of technical knowledge and hands-on skills that align with the expectations of the role, such as:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic understanding of automotive systems, hand tools and mechanisms to facilitate effective learning and assistance in repairs and
maintenance tasks to maintain tools and equipment for a clean and safe working environment.
Ability to listen to directions, self motivate, work independently and ask questions to do the job properly.
Ability to problem-solve to accurately diagnose and rectify mechanical issues in vehicles under the guidance of a skilled
mechanic.
Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle tools and perform tasks that require strength and precision.
Good communication skills to understand instructions from the mentor, ask relevant questions, and explain repair procedures.
Willingness to learn and adapt as this role requires continuous learning of new technologies and repair techniques in the ever-
evolving industry.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all repair tasks and to maintain high safety standards.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster good relationships with coworkers and customers alike.
An understanding that to become a successful mechanic you must have willingness to listen, observe an learn.

Valid Driver’s License. CDL is Preferred
Legally able to work in the United States
Able to pass a DOT Drug Test and Physical
Preferable on the job experience, and/or Trade School education
OSHA 10- preferred, but we can provide
Must be computer Literate and able to speak and write English
High School Diploma
