Project Superintendent – Are you looking for a company that you are part of a team?
Brookstone Builders Inc. is currently seeking a highly motivated professional Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team. We are seeking (2) experienced Superintendents for projects that will start next month in NH.
Our Superintendents’ work collaboratively with the Project Manager to ensure the work progresses according to schedule, budget, meets the company’s quality standards, and meets the client’s satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in the pre-construction process with the development/implementation of the project start-up plan and assist in project buy-out & scheduling.
Have a complete understanding of blueprints/drawings, schedules, project plans, subcontractor responsibilities, and the scope of work. Also, a comprehensive understanding of the project strategy, financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones and inspections.
Attend meetings with project manager, client, client representatives, inspectors, governmental oversight officials, subcontractors’ suppliers and field staff.
Provide accurate and timely required paperwork, including daily reports, time sheets, field documentation as dictated by the specific project requirements.
Implement on-site QA/QC Program: Job site safety/ Risk Mitigation/Job Hazard Analysis. Enforce the site-specific safety plan, compliance with Brookstone Builders safety policies, OSHA, and other safety regulations.
Manage subcontractors on site personnel, schedule and work between trades.
Maintain a clean and safe site.
Create and reinforce a culture of continuous production improvement in the field by identifying and implementing changes that improve productivity, quality and safety practices.
Run weekly project and subcontractor meetings, plus tool box talks.
Continuously promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors and instilling this philosophy in the project team.
Maintain an accurate on-site as-built set of drawings.
Demonstrate and maintain an effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations, and any deviation in the direction, status or schedule of the project.
Perform other duties and assignments as requested as they arise.
Required Experience:
At least 5 years as a Commercial Construction Superintendent in both private and government work.
Experience in ground up construction as well as working in occupied buildings.
Competent at negotiations, problem solving and conflict resolution.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with construction/project software, comfortable with computers, mobile devices and printers/copiers.
Valid driver’s license
OSHA 30 Certificate
Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle background check as well as a security background check.
CPR/First Aid Certificate
