Join our team as a Heavy Truck and Heavy Equipment Mechanic! We are seeking a dedicated mechanic with at least 3 years of experience working on heavy trucks and equipment. This position offers competitive wages and is ideal for someone looking to apply their skills in a dynamic working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, such as cranes, bulldozers, graders, and conveyors, used in construction, logging, and surface mining.
- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
- Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Adjust and relines brakes, aligns wheels, tightens bolts and screws, and reassembles equipment.
- Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
- Overhaul and test major components, such as engines, hydraulics, and transmissions.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience as a mechanic working on heavy trucks and equipment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in the use of all tools of the trade.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational school certification preferred.
