I am a woman owned business in the Lakes Region of NH. It is a flower farm that was built by me, from the ground up, and we are excitedly going into our 3rd season. The work is outside, with nature, with flowers, and for the local community.
Work tasks include:
- seeding, planting, transplanting, and harvesting flowers
- using farm tools such as sheers, buckets, stirrup hoe, broad fork, shovel, and similar style hand tools
- managing greenhouse and low tunnel structures
- Potential tasks include: arranging flowers, delivering flowers, fulfilling customer orders
Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Candidates must be able to walk from farm fields to farmhouse throughout the work shift
I routinely provide flowers for events/weddings/repeat customers in the region. Almost every flower is started in the winter in my greenhouse, propagated, planted, farmed, harvested, and delivered to the customer by me. We have had great success and are looking forward to a long tenure of farming flowers for the local community. I am looking for a part-time teammate that can help learn the farm (including a commitment to no till organic farming), the business, the customers, and flower arranging. I love farming and love flowers. The business is thriving and set for growth. I need to add a part-time teammate in hopes that they could evolve with the business into a more full-time partnership.
