The Electric Barn is an electrical supply distributor that specializes in hard to find/obsolete industrial electrical components. The company acquires the majority of its products through demolition salvage and retrieval operations. The Electric Barn is seeking a laborer to assist in the removal and recycling of electrical equipment from demo and salvage operations.
Responsibilities
assist members of demo team with the removal of electrical equipment from job site in a safe manor.
prepare stock items for storage. This includes but is not limited to disassembling, cleaning, sorting, and packing of stock items.
prepare toolboxes and equipment for use.
Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
Identify, separate, and recycle precious metals.
Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
Follow quality control standards and comply with procedures and rules
Skills
Proven working experience as a construction/demo worker
experience using hand and power tools
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift 70lbs
forklift and pallet jack experience
ability to identify various metals
OSHA 10 Safety Certification is required for this position. Applicants who have previously completed training will be given priority. Training can be arranged for those who have not.
compensation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Pto- sick days and 7 holidays
