About the Role

- As a Lead Carpenter, you will serve as the main point of contact on-site for our top residential projects. You will be responsible for overseeing and executing a range of projects while ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

- This role involves managing projects, interpreting blueprints, working with clients and subcontractors, and helping to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- With a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and extensive carpentry expertise, you will be tasked with delivering exceptional results, troubleshooting challenges on-site, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position demands a proactive and resourceful professional who can thrive in a dynamic, hands-on environment, serving as a key point of coordination between the job site, the project management team, and clients. As a Lead Carpenter, you will play an integral role in shaping the success and reputation of our growing company.

- The ideal candidate has a proven background in frame to finish carpentry, has demonstrated a commitment to quality and learning, possesses intricate knowledge of residential remodeling and the related trades, and has successfully led a crew of in-house labor and subcontractors in past roles. Additionally, the Lead Carpenter should maintain an inventory of power tools and equipment and must understand how to properly use them.

Key Responsibilities

- Keep our clients happy with expert workmanship, solid and regular communication, and professional appearance.

- Create and maintain Daily Logs complete with photos and descriptions of the work progress.

- Maintain and keep the project on schedule.

- Supervise field carpenters and/or subcontractors.

- Order and coordinate material deliveries.

The Ideal Candidate

- Minimum six (6) years of proven experience in frame-to-finish carpentry.

- Minimum of two (2) years in a construction-related supervisory role.

- Possesses relevant residential construction knowledge.

- Expert craftsmanship and commitment to high-quality work.

- Professional communication skills when interacting with clients, our in-house team, subcontractors, and other partners/vendors.

- Proficiency using computers, smart phones, email, web, and Google Docs.

- Problem solving attitude with an ability to see the big picture.

- Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.

- Strong organizational and communication skills.

- Passion for learning and self-awareness around areas for growth.

- Self-motivation and ability to overcome hurdles with reasonable guidance.

- A keen eye for detail and commitment to high-quality work.

- Commitment to professionalism, including appearance.

A Few Other Things

- Attitude, passion, and willingness to learn are more important than experience. If you show that you have what it takes and are a team player, we are willing to train.

- We require that you have a valid license and your own reliable transportation.

- No smokers will be considered at this time as most of our clientele are sensitive to smoking in and around their homes.

- Employment is contingent on a background check and drug test.
