FULL-TIME PURCHASER
Commercial architectural millwork company has an immediate opening for an "Experienced Purchaser" to join our growing team. We are looking for a hard-working individual who will succeed in a fast-paced environment and be able to multi-task with many projects going on simultaneously. This is a challenging, hands-on position that will require the ideal candidate to timely source quality materials, receive the best price, while ensuring prompt delivery of all items ordered.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, but not limited to:
- Purchasing of materials
- Prepare material take-offs
- Ensure PO's completed in a timely manner
- Source the best quality and price Vendor relationships
- Maintain delivery schedules
- Complete various project requests on-time
- Process all materials returns
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships
- Communicate and interact effectively with all company personnel
- Assist other departments as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years prior experience working in a manufacturing environment
- able to read and understand architectural drawings A Plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Able to think creatively to solve problems
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Meet all deadlines
- Prior use of computerized purchasing software
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Reliable, dependable and punctual
