Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced In-House Tile Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for installing various types of tiles, such as ceramic, porcelain, marble, and stone, with precision and expertise. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will play a critical role in achieving beautiful, durable, and long-lasting tile installations for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan the layout and installation of tile surfaces, including floors, walls, countertops, and backsplashes

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and waterproofing as needed to ensure a smooth and stable substrate for tile installation

Measure and cut tile materials accurately to fit around obstacles and in irregular spaces, using tile saws, grinders, and other cutting tools

Install tile using appropriate setting materials, such as mortar, adhesive, or grout, and techniques, such as thin-set or mud-set installation

Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and pattern consistency throughout the installation process, paying attention to detail and aesthetics

Install tile trim and edge profiles, as well as transition pieces and expansion joints, to achieve a finished and professional look

Seal and finish tile surfaces to protect against moisture, stains, and wear, following manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices

Install Schluter and Wedi products for waterproofing.

Cleanup work areas and remove debris at the end of each installation job, leaving the site clean and organized

Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues or concerns

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a tile installer, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience

Proficiency in using tile installation tools and equipment, including tile saws, grinders, trowels, and floats

Knowledge of tile materials, patterns, sizes, and installation methods, as well as industry standards and best practices

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and installation instructions

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring, cutting, and installing tile surfaces

Physical stamina and dexterity to lift and maneuver heavy tile materials and equipment

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise

A valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Depending on experience
