Welder – Drilling Company
Full-Time | Growth Opportunity | Not an Entry-Level Position
We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team at a fast-paced drilling company. This is a long-term career opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety, and wants to grow with a company. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the field around heavy equipment. This position will be shop based, but we work all over New England, so there might be travel.
Responsibilities
Perform SMAW (mainly 7018) and GMAW (dual shield 1/16”) welding on a variety of projects
- experience with thicker metals is a plus, 1” and greater
Handle both indoor and outdoor welding in diverse conditions
Complete fabrication tasks and repairs with accuracy and efficiency
- Carbon arc gouging
Work around and alongside heavy equipment
Support field and shop projects as needed
Safely lift and move materials (50+ lbs)
Requirements
5+ years welding experience (not a beginner role)
Proficiency in Stick and MIG welding
Strong basic fabrication skills
Common sense and problem-solving skills
- Needs to be able to work in a team environment with a leader mindset
Self-motivated and reliable with a strong work ethic
Punctual, dependable, and willing to work overtime when required
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Clean driving record
Experience around heavy equipment and willingness to learn how to operate
Must have valid drivers License
Must be able to pass a DOT Medical physical and Drug Screen
Must speak, write and understand English and be a US Citizen
