As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.The painting and finishing department at Springhill is the final process in the manufacture of COLORBOND®, where coils of steel are painted with our world leading coating process and then packaged and despatched to our Australian & International customers.Candidates looking for an opportunity to progressively develop their trade and leadership skills would be well-suited to this role, as BlueScope seeks to support the next generation of technicians and supervisors across the manufacturing business.What will you do?You will apply your technical expertise to ensure that all mechanical equipment is maintained to deliver a quality product and reliable operation. You will:perform online and offline inspections to determine equipment conditionisolate equipment and lead preventative and corrective maintenance tasksconduct fault-finding and defect elimination activities to resolve issues and support reliable equipment operationrebuild and repair mechanical spares, ensuring equipment fleets are available for continuous manufacturing operationsassist with procurement of consumables, tools, and stocked spares for routine and shutdown maintenance tasks, using the computerised maintenance management system (SAP) seek ways to continuously improve our maintenance practices and strategiesMore About YouYou are highly motivated and have a strong technical background with the ability to work effectively and flexibly in a team environment.
