Job Title: Equipment Maintenance TechnicianLocation:  Rochester, NY 14625Duration: 12 monthsThis position is ideal for a mechanically inclined technician with strong electrical and diagnostic experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Core ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative and predictive maintenance on blow molding, extrusion blowing, and injection molding machines and associated auxiliary equipmentTroubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, sensors, relays, and AC/DC drivesDiagnosing mechanical failures involving hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, and drive systemsSupport troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment (basic fault tracing and component replacement)Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical manualsMaintain and repair HVAC and facility support systems as neededPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failuresDocument maintenance activities and work orders in SAP, Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve equipment uptime and reliabilityParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, reliability, and process stabilityFollow OSHA and company safety standards including LOTO proceduresRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentPreferred: Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience working as a mechanic or TechnicianTechnical Skills & Experience
Preferred: Electrical diagnostics (120V–480V systems)Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshootingMechanical systems repair (bearings, belts, couplings, alignment)Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematicsStrong documentation and communication skills2+ years’ experience working on molding machinesMotor controls and VFD troubleshootingWorking knowledge of AC/DC drivesExperience with industrial automation systems
