A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and energetic Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Underground Maintenance Team at the Waihi Operation.Working autonomously as well as part of a dynamic team, you will gain and expand your experience and knowledge of underground mining whilst working an attractive even time roster. Rotating 7 days on, 7 days off (Dayshift/Nightshift).Key tasks and responsibilities:Perform a range of preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks on mining equipment including Loaders, Development/Production Drills, Haul Trucks and Ancillary Plant and EquipmentEnsure all equipment is mechanically and electronically maintained in accordance with company and site policies and proceduresComplete scheduled tasks and service inspections as planned to a high standard of quality which maintains the integrity of the equipment and does not compromise safetyMaintain legible and accurate maintenance records and documentationSource technical information from the relevant OEM manuals, technical bulletins, and service documentation.Actively promote, seek out and participate in drives that will lead to improvements in safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness
