You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.Job responsibilities

Applies deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies focused on analyzing complex data and systems, anticipating issues, and finding ways to mitigate risk

Works with other platforms to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes

Responsible for infrastructure engineering in accordance with business requirements

Drives results and implements multiple complex programs

Executes work according to compliance standards, risk and security, and business objectives

Advises junior engineers and technologists

Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision)

Knowledge of one specific infrastructure technology and programming languages or database management systems (Java, Python, Shell Scripts)

Deep technical knowledge across multiple domains

Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds

A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, performance bottlenecks, etc.

Automate tasks in a way that they can be scaled out across the organization

Troubleshooting skills, ability to articulate technical and non-technical information

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Cloud technologies such as Docker containers and Kubernetes a plus

Siteminder, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Coherence, MQ, Autosys

Splunk, Geneos, Dynatrace, Linux , HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP

Authentication and encryption technologies such as SSL, Kerberos, etc
