Job Summary:
Linden Auto Repair is seeking an experienced and reliable Auto Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. As an Auto Mechanic at Linden Auto Repair, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are safe and running smoothly for our customers by performing routine maintenance and repair tasks, diagnosing complex issues, and providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Conduct vehicle repairs and component replacements as needed.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues accurately.
Test drive vehicles to identify potential issues and verify repairs.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are organized.
Communicate with the service advisor and customers about necessary repairs and maintenance.
Provide accurate cost estimates for repairs and services.
Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an auto mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and specialized equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to customers.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Bilingual (a plus but not required).
