Job Details:
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
Pay Rate: $18-23/hr Based on Experience
Employment Type: Contract to hire
Responsibilities: As a Medical Billing Specialist, you'll be a crucial part of our team, responsible for:
Exporting, importing, and submitting claims between systems
Managing medical billing collections and follow-up processes
Resolving insurance denials and addressing underpayments
Reviewing medical claims and ensuring accuracy
Identifying and resolving issues preventing claim resolution
Accurate documentation and efficient data entry
Verifying health insurance benefits for patients
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required
Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare billing is essential
Understanding of CPT and ICD-10 codes is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience using EMR systems such as Epic/Navinet is advantageous
