Sales Engineer Full Time/ Benefits Our client is looking to hire a Sales Engineer. About The Position: Seeking a Sales Engineer, to support pre-sales activities for the Enterprise Solutions Business Unit in North America. This position would support all technical efforts associated with network-based solutions that assist corporations and service providers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Identifies current and future customer technical requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current customers to understand solution requirements. Provides technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Conducts demonstrations of stand-alone, SaaS and network-based products and solutions as needed.
  • Works with customers to understand their business processes and infrastructure to design solution plans that included the deployment of integrated network-based solutions.
  • Develops proposals by analyzing cost-benefit ratios and return on investment analysis. Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating the technical value of solutions, cost reductions, and operations improvements.
  • Assists salespeople in the preparation of solution quotes, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel as needed.
  • Educates customer's staff by providing post-sale technical information and training.
  • Understands federal, state, and local legal regulations and requirements by studying existing and new legislation, and anticipating future legislation; advises customers on product, service, or equipment adherence to regulations.
  • Prepares sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information, customer requirements and industry trends.
  • Routinely provides product feedback to product management and engineering based on industry knowledge and customer interactions.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in sales/systems engineering role, or, 4 years of experience in digital forensic investigations (mobile and computer forensics).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in administration of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and virtualization platforms (VMWare, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix etc.)
  • Experience with deployment, configuration and administration of server based systems (Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Linux and IIS), as well as network infrastructure, including DNS, LDAP (Active Directory), NAS, routers, firewalls and various IDS/IPS systems.
  • Understanding of desktop software management technologies, RMMs (ConnectWise, Kaseya, Ninja, Datto, MECM, etc.), as well as MDMs (JAMF, Addigy, Intune, etc.)
  • Experience in eDiscovery processes, working in public Cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and familiarity with SaaS model/architecture is a plus
