Preparation of food: Cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
Cooking: Grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
Sanitation: Maintaining cleanliness and compliance with food sanitation requirements.
Inventory: Performing inventory checks and completing food storage logs.
Teamwork: Collaborating with the head chef, sous chef, or executive chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly.
A line cook must possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, be detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic. They should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow recipes accurately.
