Wanted:
Seeking someone with healthcare, child care, or educational background to help care for a 24-year-old developmentally disabled son. He is legally blind (blind in one eye and with vision impairment in the other although he sees better than most doctors expect) and deaf, but healthy and happy. He knows some sign language, so someone with sign language experience would be a plus. Candidate would be hired through a federally funded program that manages paycheck and other employment details. We would like to start out as per-diem, with full-time opportunities a possibility in the future.
Job duties include feeding and assisting with daily activities as well as working on goals outlined in the care plan. These goals include working with him on better communication, increased safety, assisting with meal prep etc
Pay is dependent upon experience
