I’m seeking a home healthcare aide for my 70-year old parents, in Guilderland, NY. My father has Parkinson's and dementia, and requires some mobility help, as well as assistance with getting dressed, medications, and meals. My mother needs assistance with getting and putting away groceries, meal pickups, and light housework and cleaning. Some light lifting may be required, no more than 20 pounds. Companionship is not required.
Looking for someone empathetic who has experience with caring for and assisting dementia patients, who must be a good and comfortable fit with my parents.
There’s a friendly dog in the home, so you’d need to be comfortable being around dogs. If you’re interested and able to occasionally walk the dog, that would be a nice bonus and appreciated.
We’re looking for someone able to commit to 20 hours per week, at a rate between $20 and $25 per hour, during the days only. (Daily hours can be flexible.) You must be friendly, dependable, and honest, over 25 years old, and willing to wear a mask while in the home. You must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
