We are a property management company that serves Troy, Albany, Watervliet, Rensselaer, Cohoes and the surrounding areas around 787.
We are seeking individuals interested in being added to our emergency repair list. This is an as-needed position, and these repairs would take place whenever a call call comes in on nights M-F 5pm-5am, Saturday/Sunday (any time), holidays (if you are available).
You do NOT need to accept all calls in order to be added to our list. We understand you cannot possibly be available at all times, however, you would be added to our call list and our emergency team would reach out when appropriate. If you can't take the call at that time, simply ignore the call. If interested, this could turn into more work.
Payment varies, but it never less than $50/hour. If you leave your home, you will always make at least $100, even if you don't work 2 full hours. Most times, contractors can talk a resident through the issue over the phone or FaceTime so that they can get through the night/weekend/holiday until our office is open. We still pay for this time and you never have to leave your home.
Repairs are often very simple solutions, as we don't have access to all parts and equipment during these hours. For example, if heat is out, you might ensure there is no bigger issue (gas leak) and instruct them to find electric space heaters left on site or drop off heaters we provide. You might instruct a resident how to turn off water if there is a leak and wait for business hours for a plumber to arrive. The goal is to get the resident through the night/weekend/holiday and do the true repair later.
