Horse Wrangler/ Ranch Hand/Trail guide
We are a small horse ranch located in upstate New York. We are looking for exceptional individuals to join our team as wranglers/trail guides. We offer guided mountain trail rides to the general public. We cater mostly to beginner riders, so safety is #1 priority. Rides are from a half hour up to several hours.
Customer service and solid riding ability is a must for all of our guides.
Must be able to:
-take direction and have an open mind
-excellent communication
-self starter
-team player
-able to lift 50lbs and able to remain on your feet for long periods of time
-have a love for the outdoors and willingness to work in all weather
As this is a working ranch, staff are expected to participate in all aspects of work in the daily care of horses and other animals from feeding, mucking, barn chores, and general maintenance.
Other responsibilities include riding, catching, grooming, saddling, teaching and interacting with guests.
Potential for live on site for the right person.
