Temporary Position
Under the direct supervision of the Project Assistant, and oversight of the supervisor of Grants Finance, the incumbents of these positions will assist with the processing, review, and payment of grant projects, Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide technical assistance to client program offices and subrecipients as the office fiscal contact for select State and/or federally funded grant programs;
Develop tables, charts, spreadsheets, and reports as needed by using various reporting tools to
extract and compile data related to grants and grant-funded activities from multiple sources;
Review, analyze and process fiscal transactions in Department’s grant payment system (CAFÉ) and/or the Statewide Financial System (SFS);
Assist with the assembly and maintenance of control documents for each funded program including appropriations, period of availability, and lapse/liquidation dates;
Provide additional cash management review of select claims submitted for payment;
Provide written technical assistance in response to email inquiries sent to office email account;
Assist with meeting federal reporting requirements on grants and grant-funded activities, as
required, under the Federal Funding and Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA); and
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires 24 undergraduate and/or graduate semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing and minimum of two years’ experience in accounting or finance. Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis, cash flow analysis, internal control policies and procedures, and consolidations is expected.
Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) is preferred.
