We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Orthotic and/or Prosthetic Technician to join our growing clinical and technical team.
Position Summary:
The Orthotic and/or Prosthetic Technician is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing a wide range of custom orthotic and prosthetic devices under the direction of certified practitioners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in precision and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, and finish orthotic and prosthetic devices from casts, molds, and digital scans.
Modify devices for proper fit, alignment, and function.
Maintain and organize fabrication tools, materials, and equipment.
Ensure all work meets clinical specifications, safety standards, and company quality protocols.
Collaborate with clinicians and administrative staff to support patient care timelines.
Perform maintenance and minor repairs on existing patient devices.
Uphold a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment.
Qualifications:
Experience in orthotic and/or prosthetic fabrication preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hand-tool skills required.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, drawings, and practitioner notes.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Team-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently when needed.
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school background preferred.
Knowledge of thermoplastics, carbon fiber, resins, and vacuum-forming techniques is an asset.
