A railway company is seeking a full-time mechanic to join our team in Selkirk, NY. This position involves working on heavy equipment, highway vehicles, railroad equipment, and diesel trucks.
Mon-Fri 7am-3pm
45-51k salary
Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles and equipment to determine condition and identify worn or damaged parts.
Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to keep equipment in top working condition.
Repair or replace major assemblies and components, including power and drive trains, hydraulics, brakes, steering, air conditioning, fuel, and electrical systems.
Conduct test drives and performance checks to verify repairs.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state safety and emissions standards.
Requirements:
Must have your own tools.
Dependable, punctual, and able to follow safety procedures.
Valid driver’s license required.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and quarterly random testing.
