Who we are looking for:
· An experienced professional of a high volume, Vehicle Service Shop
· Well versed in NYSDOT regulations and vehicle repair
· Ability to grasp concepts and learn quickly as the industry continues to change and develop
What you’ll be doing:
· Repairing vehicles for the purpose of ensuring safe operating condition (tires, batteries, brakes, fluids, lights, latches, switches, etc.)
· Executing preventive maintenance for the purpose of maintaining vehicles in safe operating condition
· Verifying operational safety of equipment and devices such as brakes, clutch, lights, mirrors, glass, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, highway warning kits, horn, warning lights and buzzers, emergency exists, wipers, signs, ties, etc.
· Diagnosing potential vehicle malfunctions for the purpose of determining needed repairs and/or replacements
· Operate lubrication equipment, compressor, battery charger, diagnostic equipment, spark plug tester, drills, presses, air wrenches, and other tools and equipment as required in the performance of assigned duties
· Maintaining a safe work area
Must Have:
· Valid Driver License
· Computer skills
· Experience with vehicle repairs
· Tools to perform the services
· At least 18 years of age
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
