We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver and helper to join our team. The ideal candidate is preferred to have experience in delivering and installing furniture and appliances but it is NOT mandatory. This position is a local delivery driver position that will complete deliveries and sometimes installation of appliances with a helper. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods and materials to designated locations. A background in commercial driving and appliance installation knowledge is highly desirable. An applicant can be trained.
Duties
Must be able to operate a 26ft box truck.
Load and unload cargo efficiently while ensuring the safety of the load.
Follow established routes for deliveries.
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records for logbook.
Communicate effectively with warehouse manager regarding route changes or delays.
Be professional with customers.
Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds with a partner.
Qualifications
Valid drivers license.
Must pass pre-employment drug test and background
Experience in truck driving and/or deliveries preferred but can be trained.
Familiarity with route driving responsibilities.
Ability to load and unload materials safely using lift gate.
Cdl is advantageous but not required.
Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds with a partner.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
