Adams Express Agency is Hiring Independent Contractor Courier Drivers
About Us:
Adams Express Agency specializes in reliable and efficient courier services. We are currently seeking independent contractor courier drivers to join our team. The primary task will involve picking up packages from warehouses in either Malta or Albany and delivering them to various locations, with 90% of deliveries occurring within the Malta to Albany area.
Job Requirements:
· Knowledge of the local area
· Possess a dependable vehicle (car, van, or truck)
· Willing to provide proof of identification (2 forms required…Drivers License, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, and/or Passport)
· Proof of insurance. (Bodily injury liability of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per incident and $50,000 property damage liability is required)
· Clean driving record (any traffic violation involving intoxication will result in rejection)
· Smartphone with minimum 3G capability (Android or iPhone. NO LG phones)
· Business license required (basic license issued by city, local, or state government)
Work Schedule:
Flexible scheduling: Work on-call, 24/7. You decide your availability.
Geographical Coverage:
Adams Express Agency is based in Clifton Park, with pickups originating from Malta or Albany. Deliveries primarily within Malta or Albany, occasionally extending to areas like Queensbury and out-of-state destinations like Connecticut.
Compensation per delivery:
· Weekdays: $20 base rate for the first 17 miles, $1.00 for each additional mile.
· Nights (6pm-8am): $45 base rate for the first 17 miles, $1.00 for each additional mile.
· All day on weekends: $45 base rate for the first 17 miles, $1.00 for each additional mile.
