The Director will be responsible for the supervision of the K-12 Health and Physical Education curriculum; interscholastic and extracurricular physical education, athletics, and sports related programs and their respective staff.QUALIFICATIONS:Applicants must have:
Demonstrated commitment to students;
Outstanding record of achievement and leadership;
Record of successful teaching, coaching, and administrative experience;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, parents and community members;
Ability to provide leadership in the development and implementation of a comprehensive curriculum of health and physical education for all students;
Evidence of prior experience managing the organization and scheduling of all interscholastic and intramural athletic events;
A comprehensive knowledge of the laws, polices and regulations as established by the NYS Education Department as well as the NYS Public High School Athletic Association;
Ability to supervise and evaluate teachers, coaches and staff.
REQUIREMENTS: NYSED Administrative Certification; SDL or SDA and NYSED certification in Physical Education (preferred).SALARY: Minimum starting salary $90,000 .
