These are the times the morning shift ends, but we do not actually leave until the work is completed. During very busy times this might add an additional hour to the end of the work schedule.

This is a VERY IMPORTANT THING TO CONSIDER! Especially if you have somewhere you have to be immediately before or after you finish work.

WE DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL THE WORK IS COMPLETED.

Hours and days are NOT NEGOTIABLE.

We are seeking an individual who is interested in long term employment, takes instruction well, learns quickly, can handle responsibility, and is self-motivated. You must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently and correctly; demonstrate legible handwriting and perform math at a minimum of a high school level.

Computer and filing skills are critical to this position. This is an extremely detail oriented job and there is a lot to learn.

There is a 90 day probationary period.

You must be capable of lifting 40 pounds and controlling a patient up to 100 pounds, should a client need help with a patient or supplies.

As there is no exact duplication of positions among the staff, attendance every day you are scheduled to work is critical.

We work with dogs, cats, birds, and some exotics. Although receptionists do not handle the patients often, they may be asked to do so occasionally. If you are allergic to any of these animals, feel you would not be able to touch any of these animals, or fear any of these animals, please note this on your application.

The animals we see are often sick, injured, or upset. You WILL find yourself in the position of cleaning up fur, stool, vomit, and urine.

We do perform euthanasia of patients as required and the clients are often present. Reception is intimately involved in this process as they must go over the paperwork and procedure, in detail, with the client.
