Must have analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail and be well versed in the location and retrieval of title documents. Must be able to identify, categorise and present clearly and chronologically all legal impacts affecting a given Title including making all discoveries before going to closing. Experience with real estate transactions, abstracting, paralegal and/or real estate law is a plus. This job will involve physically pulling all associated documents for which title is being examined and any and all internet research supporting the same. Strong skills in MS Office is a requirement as well as open resources on the internet. Abstractors will see to all aspects of organising and presenting the final abstract document, which will be reviewed before hand-off to the requesting party by senior staff.
