Prime Recovery LLC is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Collections to lead our Tonawanda, New York office. This senior leadership role requires a hands-on professional capable of managing day-to-day performance while also playing a key role in transitioning operations from a remote workforce to a fully staffed, in-house office environment.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will work directly with ownership to build out and scale the company’s new in-house collections operation. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of approximately 15 to 25 collectors, hiring and training new staff, establishing office structure and culture, and implementing performance standards.
This position requires a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance tactical execution with strategic planning. Candidates must have 2–5 years of documented agency management experience, along with industry references.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day collection activities and ensure performance targets are consistently achieved
Work closely with company ownership to plan and execute the transition from remote to in-house operations
Hire, train, and develop new staff to support office expansion and long-term growth
Create and implement efficient workflows, performance standards, and team structure
Set clear goals and KPIs for collectors, and regularly monitor and coach for performance
Ensure compliance with all federal and state collection laws and regulations
Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency
Contribute to the development of a strong in-office culture and professional environment
Required Qualifications:
2–5 years of proven management experience in a third-party debt collection agency
Demonstrated success in building or expanding a collection operation
Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and ownership
Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational skills
Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
High degree of professionalism, initiative, and accountability
