The Dental Hygienist is a licensed professional, responsible to assist our dentists as they provide the treatment and care of the mouth, teeth,and gums of our valued patients. The Dental Hygienist will examine patients' teeth and gums; remove stains and tartar; and also perform root planing. In addition, the Dental Hygienist takes/develops dental X-rays to help diagnose problems. He/She applies fluorides and sealants to help prevent cavities. The Hygienist teaches our patients how to prevent dental problems by emphasizing the importance of good nutrition, proper brushing, and regular dental checkups. The ideal Hygienist candidate will be licensed, have a high school diploma/GED at a minimum, one year field or research experience, and a strong desire to work in a highly professional, process-oriented environment.
