Express Employment Professionals are seeking 2nd Shift Machine Operators for a book manufacturer in Depew, NY. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity!
Hours: Mon-Fri 2:15pm-10:45pm
Pay Rate: $18/hr +.75 shift differential
Job Description:
-Set up and operate the bindery equipment and guillotine cutter station
-Performs continuous inspections on trimming, gluing, cover placement, cooling and cutting functions to ensure productivity targets and quality standards.
-Ensures that covers are adhering to book
-Conducts machine changeovers throughout the day
-Troubleshoots equipment and makes minor repairs as needed. Alert supervisor of any technical problems.
-Palletizes finished product
-Maintain various reports including time and production records as needed
-Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-6 months to 1 year of machine operating experience (high-speed machine experience highly preferred)
-Mechanically inclined
-Ability to work under pressure, in a fast passed environment, multi-tasking, with strong attention to detail
