Public Relations and Communications Manager

Job Summary:

This is a new position within our company to help us improve both in the public with our customers, along with our staff and team members. This position will have many tasks including but not limited to help creating and promoting The Plumber Heating and Cooling identity and mission to customers, the public, and employees through the creation and distribution of social media, news releases, in person and other resources. Support strategic initiatives to create and maintain a positive public image for the organization. Promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers along with current and future employees and team members . Work with our current teams AND marketing specialist to attract new customers and team members. Assist and work side by side with the general managers to create a new, positive fun work environment, events and added team member benefits.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Serves as a liaison between the organization and the public.

. Serve as a liaison between the general manager / owner and the team members and staff

· Develops and maintains a positive public image for the organization through public-facing communication.

. Establish a positive relationship with our staff and marketing team.

· Work with our marketing team to write responses to reviews, and/or distributes press releases and other public-facing communication.

· Work with our marketing team to respond to information requests from the customers and employees .

· Establishes and maintains responses to social media post , reviews and other public sites.

· Work with our marketing team and owner to evaluate all advertising campaigns to ensure consistency with the organization’s public.

· Develops and/or executes social media and content strategies to release information on the organization in a manner that will promote a positive public image.

· Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand.

· Organize , promote , setup and attend special events to help grow our company and attract new employees through but not limited to home shows, job fairs, etc.

. Attending network groups / events, chamber events

· Arranges for photography and / or videos of onsite job sites with customer testimonials and our work .

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Extensive knowledge of public relations principles and strategies.

· Excellent public speaking skills.

· Excellent written communication skills with a proven ability to write in a journalistic style that is customary for external publications.

· Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with an ability to build and maintain positive relationships with media contacts and others.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Proficient with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter

Education and Experience:

. Marketing: 1 year (Preferred)

. Social media marketing: 1 year (Preferred)

. Writing skills: 2 years (Preferred)

. Public Relations: 2 years (Preferred)

· Strategic planning experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

. Long periods of time standing.

. be able to withstand to outside elements while on jobsites

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Salary: $48,000.00- $85,000.00
