We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer/Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with various construction tasks, ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on-site.
Duties
Assist skilled tradespeople in various construction tasks, including, shooting grades, pipe laying, general site construction.
Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and transport them to designated areas on the job site.
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris and hazardous materials.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Participate in site preparation activities, including digging trenches or leveling ground as needed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Qualifications
Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
Equipment operating experience is a key asset.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and standing for long periods.
Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
Ability to follow instructions accurately read blueprints and work well in a team-oriented environment.
Reliable transportation to job sites is essential.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
