Wayside Nursery is an established, Family owned and operated Nursery and Full service Landscaping Company that has been serving all of Western NY for over 50 years.
Conveniently located in Niagara Falls, we are once again expanding our operations and looking for the right team members to join our dynamic organization.
Wayside is currently interviewing for the full/Part time position of
Experienced Residential and Commercial Landscape Installers.
This Position will require the candidate to:
Work directly with division Manager and crews to ensure the completion of landscape and hardscapes installation with great precision and business minded efficiency
Skill set and Education Requirements:
Experienced in landscape construction and knowledge of hardscapes Preferred (2years +)
Knowledgeable of trees, shrubs & hardscape materials & installation process
Identification of cultural/ environmental requirements
Highly motivated-self driven
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Punctual
Great leadership/communication skills, verbal/written
Ability to prioritize & multitask
Clean and professional appearance
Time Management Skills
Ability to work in different weather conditions
Must have valid NYS driver’s license (commercial a plus) and clean driving record
Able to represent Wayside in a professional & courteous manner
Job Responsibilities:
Perform landscape installation along with various landscape maintenance tasks, including pruning, weeding, fertilizing, mowing, trimming, and edging lawns
Assist with hardscape projects, such as installing walkways and patios
Operate and maintain power tools and equipment
Following best practices of installation
Work with Foreman and Landscape Manager to ensure all installation work is performed in accordance with Wayside’s Standards
Interact with clientele to ensure meeting completion dates/deadlines
Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery for maintenance and proper use and safety
Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
Maintain clean & professional job site
