Overview
We are seeking an experienced Remodeling Carpenter with the ability to work across multiple trades and deliver high-quality craftsmanship. This role requires a professional who can perform precise surgical demolition, execute complex rough and finish carpentry, and contribute to the smooth, efficient progression of remodeling projects. The ideal candidate brings discipline, technical skill, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Carpentry & Construction
Perform both rough and finish carpentry, including framing, doors, windows, cabinetry, trim, and millwork.
Execute controlled and protective demolition to avoid unnecessary damage to existing structures.
Install structural components, subfloors, blocking, and sheathing according to plans and codes.
Complete high-end finish details such as crown molding, wainscoting, built-ins, and specialty trim work.
Trade Proficiency
Work effectively in related trades such as drywall, flooring, light plumbing, electrical preparation, and tile layout where appropriate.
Coordinate with licensed trades to maintain project schedule and quality.
Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and installation instructions.
Quality & Safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite at all times.
Ensure all completed work meets or exceeds building code requirements and company standards.
Identify issues proactively and communicate solutions to the project manager.
Client Interaction & Professionalism
Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.
Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, and pride in craftsmanship.
Utilize proper protection methods such as dust control and surface protection.
Project Execution
Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting daily and weekly objectives.
Assist with material takeoffs and ordering.
Mentor junior carpenters or laborers as required.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of residential remodeling experience with verifiable work history.
Advanced skill in both rough and finish carpentry.
Demonstrated ability to perform selective, controlled demolition.
Thorough understanding of building codes and construction best practices.
Must own and maintain professional-grade tools.
Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in various field conditions.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
