Quality & Compliance Manager Canton, NY (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Canton+NY+USA+13617) Quality Assurance and Corporate ComplianceJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionReports to:Director of Quality Assurance and Corporate ComplianceRate of Pay:$54,000 - $64,000 annuallyWork schedule:Monday - Friday, weekdaysPosition Summary:The Quality and Compliance Manager for our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and our certified setting for the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is responsible for coordinating and managing quality improvement and assurance (QI/QA) activities and assisting the Director of QA & Corporate Compliance with the day-to-day implementation of the Agency’s Quality Management Program and associated work plan. This position will ensure the agency's health care provision and other services meet established quality standards and compliance regulations. This position will also execute quality improvement initiatives, manage data collection, and regularly report on quality metrics related to the Uniform Data Set (UDS), patient satisfaction, and OPWDD Division of Quality Improvement (DQI) outcomes. Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinate, execute, monitor, and manage quality improvement initiatives.

Assist in developing and implementing new data collection systems; manage existing data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.

Coordinate and manage internal and external QI projects.

Prepare and present reports detailing the outcomes/recommendations of quality control standards to management, including but not limited to performance improvement workgroups.

Collaborate with clinical providers, staff, and other healthcare members to review, develop, and implement best practices and guidelines.

Collaborate with management and staff to identify opportunities for improvement; in conjunction with Human Resources, develop appropriate training for staff to reach improvement goals.

Prepare, collect, and submit recertification documentation for Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) requirements; assist in implementing PCMH transformation for new health center locations.

Conduct audits to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and procedures.

Assist supervisory/management staff in the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of corrective action plans and follow-up to ensure areas for improvement noted in reviews are addressed.

Remain current with ongoing or new regulatory or contractual requirements for clinical quality and compliance through websites, email list services, training programs, webinars, and conferences.

Assist with enforcement of the Corporate Compliance & Quality Assurance work plans.

Assist in developing new programs, including but not limited to working with internal and external partners to achieve set goals for quality initiatives.

Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. A business, management, healthcare, or human services degree is preferred.

Two years of experience in a business or healthcare field is preferred.

Excellent computer skills, including MS Office applications, Excel, and electronic medical records software.

Strong organizational, computer, and information management skills.

NYS Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle abstract to meet agency insurability standards.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a team and to motivate others while building relationships.

Exhibits a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with issues

Sedentary work: ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.

Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Ability to sit for long periods.

Ability to tolerate extensive exposure to computer monitor/screen.

Ability to tolerate extensive use of computer keyboard.
