We are looking for someone to assist the Centralized Business Office by obtaining all information relevant to the payment of a patient claim. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as required. Confirms all admissions have been entered into the company system in accurate fashion so as to expedite billing and collections.Meets with the facility’s patients to confirm the correct insurance benefits are being utilized and/or self-pay arrangements are in place.Enters all daily ancillary charges into the company system.Acts as a liaison between the Centralized Business Office, Utilization Review and facility’s patients.Assist with Tutorial Billing. Transfers all appropriate documentation to the Centralized Business Office as needed via mail, fax, or express mail.Manages all patient financial accounts from the time of admission through date of discharge.Ensures the daily patient admission packets containing all paperwork and information needed to obtain payment for services rendered are in proper order and relayed to Centralized Business Office personnel on a timely basis.RequirementsHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); with one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educations and experience. Candidate must have knowledge of insurance and managed care.
