Boutique Hotel hiring Front Desk Agent

The Graham & Co. is looking for a customer-service oriented, organized, reliable, and highly motivated Hotel Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their stay. Responsibilities include registering guests, helping the owners, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates, amenities and local attractions. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant, safe and memorable stay for our guests in the Catskills.

Must be available for nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

- Performing all check-in and check-out tasks (mostly contact-free)

- Managing online and phone reservations

- Helping to manage procedures to keep guests, owners and employees clean and virus-free

- Communicating with owners regarding hotel needs

- Familiarity with payment methods and verifying credit card data

- Registering guests and collecting necessary information

- Welcoming guests upon their arrival and assigning rooms

- Providing information about our hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities via email, phone, or in-person

- Responding to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner

- Communicating with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully-furnished

- Preparing rooms before guests arrive

- Confirming group reservations and arrange personalized services for customers and event attendees

- Maintain updated records of bookings and payments

- Help ensure the hotel property including the communal spaces such as The Den and our swimming pool look as tidy and polished as possible

Requirements:

- Reliable, friendly and positive

- Customer service oriented

- A “can-do” attitude

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Knowledge of area is helpful

- Computer savvy, experience with word processing and spreadsheet software

- Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Assistant or similar role is a plus

- Must be able to work weekends
